Sixty-eight junior marketers took part in the first day of the 2015 PANA Brand Academy, which continues for the next three Fridays, July 3, July 10 and July 17* at the Hotel Intercontinental, Makati.
The PANA Brand Academy is a series of seminar-workshops for young marketers and marketing communicators. It is designed to build and enhance their knowledge of the marketing profession. Speakers are industry authorities with a vast wealth of experience and wisdom.
There are four seminars for each Friday of the PANA Brand Academy.
TWBA\SMP client services director Robbie Aligada opened day one with his insights on the importance of marketing and the role of marketing in an organization.
He reminded marketers that communication is not just outbound. It is also inbound.
“The more we know about our customer, the better we can be at predicting their needs and building relationships,” he said.
Rudy Villar, KidZania Manila minister of tourism discussed the marketing plan; Jem Lim, co-managing partner of Just Add Water Productions explained the costs of commercial production and Issa Baron, managing partner of Good Thinking Research stressed the importance of sound market research.
Over the following three sessions, PANA Brand Academy will cover other essential topics, from creative brief writing to product development to digital marketing and mobile marketing to brand activation.
One of the most significant sessions to watch out for is the Ad Standard Council’s seminar on the Advertising Code of Ethics.
The PANA Brand Academy aims to produce skilled and responsible communicators who would become the future leaders of marketing. This year’s participants are looking at a month filled with timely case studies, the newest industry trends and inspiring talks with marketing veterans.
