ek-picEnchanted Kingdom, the first and only world-class theme park in the country celebrated its 20 magical years on October 17 by giving fun and magical experience to its guests. Enchanted Kingdom commemorated this milestone by opening its 3 newest attractions: a memorabilia exhibit showcasing the history and development of the theme park, Enchanted Kingdom, the first 20 years – A journey through time; a new fun and learning area for younger children, KinderMagic; and the reopening of the New Rialto Theater 4D featuring the 20th Century Fox animated film, RIO, the 4D Experience.

As part of the grand celebration, Enchanted Kingdom held a corporate social responsibility event, Global Handwashing Day in partnership with Manila Water Foundation. This advocacy is one of the grandest so far since the social responsibility arm has been to different regions of the country. Enchanted Kingdom, more than just providing the rides and attractions, entertainment and shows, supports very meaningful advocacies which they believe they have a purpose to do so. Thus, the CSR event was led by EK’s Chairman and President Cesar Mario Mamon, EK’s Chief Operating Officer Dr. Cynthia Mamon and Sta. Rosa City Mayor Arlene Arcillas. The Global Handwashing activity was participated by top executives of leading Asian theme parks such as Andrew Kam, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Johnny Chan, Director of Operations of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Matthias Li, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Park Hong Kong, Andrew Lee, Corporate Director for International Development of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, Douglas Akers, Director of Food & Beverage at Universal Studios Singapore, Rachmat Sutiono, Chairman of P.T. Funworld Indonesia and Wutichai Luangamornlert, Managing Director of Siam Park City in Bangkok, Thailand, among others.

A CEO High Tea Event followed at the Enchanting Events Place where a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between EK and the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). In this occasion, EK announced to the public the coming of the most ambitious ride attraction for 2016, Agila. The AGILA is in support  of the conservation and  preservation of the national bird, the Philippine Eagle.

The highlight of the anniversary celebration is the 3rd International Sky Wizardry Competition in the evening with competitors from France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, the USA and the Philippines.  The esteemed panel of judges is composed of no less than Atty. Felipe Gozon, Chairman & CEO of GMA Network, Inc., Mr. Andrew Kam, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas of the City of Santa Rosa, Laguna, Mr. Andrew Lee, Corporate Director for International Development of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, Mr. Sid Maderazo, President & Partner of 88 Storey Films & Central Digital Laboratory, Mr. Gerardo Ramon Munoz-Martinez, Regional Manager of Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, Hon.
