PANAF Partners with PurpleBug for Youth Creativity Festival and PANAnaw Awards 2023
In a recent development, the Philippine Association of National Advertisers Foundation (PANAF) has forged a contract with PURPLEBUG, a dynamic digital marketing agency. This strategic alliance marks a pivotal moment as PANAF gears up for two major initiatives: the Youth Creativity Festival (YCF) and the highly anticipated PANAnaw Awards Competition.
PANAF, represented by its distinguished leaders Blen Fernando (Chairperson), Gigi Tibi (PANAnaw Chair), and Alan Fontanilla (Vice Chair), came together with Purple Bug President Marlon Gonzales and COO Jonna Coja for the official contract signing.
The Youth Creativity Festival (YCF) is set to captivate the hearts and minds of marketing, communications, and advertising students and academicians alike. With the theme “Responsible Content Creation and Consumption,” this year’s YCF promises a dynamic lineup of renowned speakers who will ignite the imagination of the youth. These thought leaders are carefully selected to resonate with the vibrant pulse of our future creative custodians. Their insightful talks will inspire the next generation to channel their energy into purposeful artistic expressions that positively impact life, enterprise, brands, and our societal landscape.
On the other hand, PANAnaw Awards 2023 tackles the relevant and compelling case study theme, “An Urgent Call for Education Innovation.” Qualified schools will compete by presenting their selected communications plans, vying for not only substantial cash prizes but also the prestige and honor that accompany the victory.
Both of these youth oriented events will take place at The Elements at Centris, Quezon City, on October 20th and 21st, respectively. This event is co-presented by CICP ( Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines) with major sponsor BAYAD, venue partner Eton Properties and industry partner Ad Standards Council.

PANAF AND CICP UNITES TO BOOST CREATIVITY STANDARDS
Today, a significant chapter unfolds in the history of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers Foundation (PANAF), as it embarks on a collaboration with the Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines (CICP). Gracing the pivotal occasion captured in the accompanying photograph, are signatories Bobby Simborio, the Executive Director of PANA; Aji Santiago, distinguished trustee of PANAF and adept chairperson of the forthcoming Youth Creativity Festival (YCF); Jako de Leon, the dynamic president at the helm of CICP; and Jel Directo, the vice president within CICP’s ranks.
This year, the YCF, a gathering of marketing, communications and advertising students and the academe, will be held at The Elements at Centris,Quezon City. Scheduled for October 20, 2023, this edition of YCF carries the theme of “Responsible Content Creation and Consumption.” Eminent speakers, carefully curated to resonate with the vibrant pulse of the youth, are set to grace the stage, courtesy of CICP’s vast and talented network. Conversely, CICP emerges as a budding yet formidable association of industry practitioners from the realms of creation, influence, and marketing within the Philippines. The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) Foundation’s Youth Creativity Festival and PANAnaw Awards Competition will be held at The Elements at Centris, EDSA cor. Quezon Avenue, Quezon City on October 20-21, 2023.

The festival begins with the Youth Creativity Festival, which focuses on the theme of Responsible Content Creation and Consumption. Industry rockstars will deliver inspiring talks and engage the future practitioners, encouraging them to channel their energies to meaningful creativity that positively impacts life, business, brands, and culture.
The second day features the PANAnaw Awards Competition, where 5 pre-qualified schools will present their comprehensive communications plans. This year’s theme revolves around the state of education in the Philippines. The goal is to urge leaders in both the private and public sectors to update the educational system with a stronger sense of urgency, keeping it effective and responsive to global developments.
The essence of these PANA Foundation events is to inculcate among future marketers and business leaders not only competence and moral guidance but also a heart for serving others. The Foundation’s core message for attendees of this year’s Youth Creativity Festival is to find purpose in being of service to others, whether it’s their community, society, country, or humanity at large, as this creates a ripple effect of contributing skills toward the common good and community-building, especially in the context of social media influence.

The elements of the design which illustrate perseverance, flexibility, and adaptability in the future workspace were executed with a modern, dynamic, and minimalistic look. The rich yet contrasting colors of light and dark values were inspired by the physical aspects of a spark of electricity which gives a feel of what it is like to be in the digital age. The overall branding aims to give the youth a sense of purpose and mission through empowerment. “
This is how the winner of the 2020 Youth Creativity Festival Brand Competition Nastassja T. Sanchez interprets her design in response to this year’s theme “Future-Proofing the Youth”. The judges found the design youthful and vibrant encapsulating the fusion of values and technological skill set as integral parts of the next gen survivor.
Hoping to be an art director someday, Nastassja is an incoming college freshman at the University of the Philippines-Open University. Barely warming her college days, she already has a feather to her cap with this award. She joined the competition in pursuit of her creativity and passion for the arts. Through the Youth Creativity Festival 2020, she expects the participants to learn how to harness their talents and potential and from the professionals in the industry who will be sharing their invaluable insights and experiences, she hopes to get more inspiration and direction.
This logo design will serve as the official branding for YCF and as such will be used in all the promotional materials.
The YCF is an online summit for college students and professors happening on November 25, 26 and 27, 2020. It is comprised of the Youth Congress and the 20 year old PANAnaw Awards Brand Competition where college students from public and private schools nationwide will participate in the design of a communications campaign. The Youth Congress is a series of talks about real life success and failure stories featuring respected and renowned industry icons.
