MANILA—The United Print Media Group is calling on all Philippine-based advertising agencies, media independents, print media publishers, advertisers, and students for their best and most creative print advertisements to join Tinta Awards 2015.

Now on its fifth year, the competition, known as the “Philippine Print Creative Awards,” is the first Philippine press award – giving body geared toward recognizing excellence in print advertising. Its aim is to encourage creativity in print and to keep the spirit of print media alive in an increasingly digital terrain.

The 5th Tinta Awards has categories ranging from consumer and public service print advertising, interactive and integrated print campaign, special print media execution to online advertising campaign.

There is also a student category, which seeks to “attract new generation readers among the youth” through print media’s communication campaigns. The contest has a category that is open to all college students.

For those up for the challenge, you may submit your entries until September 4, Friday. All entries must be an original and inspiring idea, relevant to its context, well executed, and entries must have been published or displayed for the first time between January 1, 2014 to September 15, 2015.

Dave Ferrer of J. Walter Thompson heads this year’s prestigious judging panel of highly-acclaimed Creative Directors here and abroad.

The Tinta Awards is spearheaded by the United Print Media Group, a progressive organization of print media and publication companies in the Philippines.

It has currently 29 active member-publications with over 100 titles.
