Manila, Philippines—August 26, 2014 – Teleperformance, the world’s leading provider of outsourced customer experience management services, recently renewed its partnership with Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila (PUP Manila) to help drive employment growth in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed by the respective officials of Teleperformance and PUP Manila, which aimed to unify their efforts in the promotion of career opportunities in the BPO sector and the expansion of the students’ knowledge in the advancements in information and communications technology.

With the renewed MOA, Teleperformance will continue extending support to PUP Manila in its school events, career seminars, training programs, student tours at Teleperformance sites, and job fairs. Teleperformance will also welcome PUP Manila students who want to take internships or part-time jobs in the company.

PUP Manila, a state university, is one of the largest universities in the Philippines in terms of student population, with over 50,000 enrolled students for the school year 2014-2015. Meanwhile, the BPO sector is one of the largest and most competitive employers of undergraduate and college graduates alike, with over 900,000 employees and total revenue of $15.5 billion in 2013, according to the Information Technology and Business Processing Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).

Teleperformance, which now has partnerships with over 35 schools, colleges and universities, aims to establish similar agreements with academic institutions across the country to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the contact center industry and to promote excellent employment opportunities to a large pool of young and talented Filipinos.
