Manila, Philippines—March 17, 2015 – Teleperformance, the world’s leading provider of outsourced customer experience management services, co-presented the “Roots Music and Arts Festival,” a benefit concert for high school and college scholars, organized by the University of the Philippines Economics Society (UP Ecosoc).
“Roots Music and Arts Festival” is one of the main events during the UP Fair, an annual week-long celebration held at the UP Sunken Garden. Around 3,500 students and visitors gathered at the venue and witnessed performances by popular bands Kamikazee, Typecast, Itchyworms, Ebe Dancel, Extrapolation, Bullet Dumas, Urbandub, Pupil, Ang Bandang Shirley and Franco, and other home-grown talents from UP.
Marilyn Ventenilla, Teleperformance regional communications and marketing director, shared her enthusiasm over the event’s success. “We at Teleperformance are pleased to support initiatives like this, especially since we know that we are able to humbly support the education of deserving students and help them reach their dreams,” Ventenilla said.
Teleperformance also featured a promo booth which welcomed concertgoers with fun games and prizes and allowed the students to capture their UP Fair moments with friends. An MBA student from UP Diliman took home a Samsung phone during the raffle draw.
Proceeds of the Roots Music Festival will go to the UP Economics Society Scholarship Fund, which aims to finance the quality education of select high school and college scholars.
