SM Prime Holdings Inc. is investing over ₱6 billion to redevelop the former Harrison Plaza Complex in Manila, signaling a bold move to revive one of the capital’s most iconic retail landmarks as part of its broader mall expansion strategy.
The company announced that the upcoming SM Harrison Plaza, targeted to open in 2027, will rise on the site of the country’s first integrated shopping mall. Originally launched in 1976, Harrison Plaza became a key commercial hub and a beloved fixture in Manila’s Malate district.
Through this redevelopment, SM Prime aims to reintroduce the historic location as a modern retail and lifestyle destination—blending its rich legacy with contemporary experiences to serve a new generation of shoppers.
