4_globe_pcwAhead of the national elections in May, Globe Telecom is supporting a campaign intended to push for women’s issues that should be addressed by the next administration.

Specifically, Globe is providing technological support for the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), which is spearheading Agenda ni Juana, a crowdsourcing of public’s pulse on which women’s issues need to be prioritized by the incoming administration. Results of the survey will aid the PCW in crafting policies related to gender equality, women’s empowerment and the fulfillment of women’s human rights.

“At Globe Telecom, we firmly believe that we need to actively encourage women’s participation in our economies and societies as this is a critical component for us to have a resilient, sustainable and a more inclusive growth in the country,” Globe Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto said.

To generate more citizens’ participation, PCW held an on-site crowdsourcing during the Women’s Caravan Consultation on Women’s Priority Legislative Agenda at the Senate last March 31. Similar caravans will be held in Davao and Cebu.

Attached under the Office of the President, the PCW is the primary policy-making and coordinating body that works for the promotion of gender equality, women’s empowerment and women’s rights.
