2020 PANA Board: Ushering the New Decade with a Perfect Blend of Wisdom and Dynamism

For the first time in the history of PANA, 3 of its past presidents are concurrently sitting on the board. The experiences of Adi Timbol-Hernandez of McDonald’s Phil. (2017), Anna Legarda-Locsin of Procter & Gamble, Phils. (2018) and the wisdom and guidance of Blen Fernando of Magna Anima Teachers’ College, (2005-06/2013-15), combined with the enthusiasm and openness of the newer officers and directors promise a dynamic and innovative shift . Encapsulated in the freshly articulated hashtag #InvolveToEvolve, the new PANA President Marvin Tiu Lim cited that responsible brand building goes beyond the boardroom. “Brands, both big and small, can affect the lives of people and thus play a major role in nation-building.” Under his leadership, PANA will be more inclusive, with the invitation of SME’s as members, collaborating more intensely with industry partners and suppliers to further strengthen and take the industry into the next era and calibrating its programs and communications to appeal to the next generation of brand builders. There is a lot of optimism and anticipation of positive changes as the officers and directors were inducted by the Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at Discovery Primea. It is definitely going to be another exciting year for all brand builders and the industry.
